Impact modified plastic SMA compound

XIRAN SM are impact modified injection molding grades especially designed for applications which require high temperature conditions. The XIRAN SM grades possess a heat resistance between 100°C and 135°C (Vicat B50).

Wide range of application
XIRAN SM grades are because of its temperature performance or chemical functionality suitable in a broad range of applications typically found in the electronics equipment and appliances industries. These include for instance white goods frames, (microwave) oven doors and panels, electric motor housings, camera components, car and mobile phones, kitchen appliances, laptop computers and office equipment.

Our SM grades are also widely used in automotive applications such as windscreen demisters, front grills and bezels. The SMA-copolymer and thus its chemical reactivity which is a major part off the SM grade matrix makes it also an excellent product for applications such as chrome plating, or decorated dashboard parts (with wood trim) were adhesion is a key parameter.
