XIRAN^® SZ grades:

SMA, a styrene maleic anhydride copolymer, offers a wide range of application opportunities due the combination of the functional properties of styrene and maleic anhydride.

Polyscope Polymers offers SMA products under the tradename XIRAN® of which XIRAN^® SZ is the range of neat resin SMA co-polymers. XIRAN^® SZ is a versatile performance enhancer for plastics from improving thermal performance to adhesion properties, from compatibilizer to flow modifier. XIRAN^® SZ is a very pure copolymer, containing no additives at all and having a low residual volatile content.

The presence of the maleic anhydride group also opens the gateway to water based applications. The functional benefits of XIRAN^® are from paper coating to dispersion agent, from binder to surface modification...
