Health and safety
Polyscope Polymers stands for an operating philosophy based on concern for employees, customers and the communities in which we operate. Our objective is to provide safe and healthy working conditions for our employees and minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.
Laws, regulations and internal standards
Polyscope complies with and exceeds where possible, all necessary health, safety and environmental laws and regulations. All operators have more than 10 years experience in the chemical industry. Furthermore our employees follow, evaluate and monitor internal standards of industry practice. An internal training program of minimal 6 months is required before an operator can work solitary in the SMA plant. The maintenance of the production facility is managed by in-house engineers and executed by a selection of dedicated contractors. Furthermore we implemented a Safety, Health, Environment management system (SHE) which is regularly audited by local authorities. It focuses on the technical integrity of the facility, safety performance and improving the management system elements. For our management system the Plan-Do-Check-Act circle (Deming) is applied according to the European Seveso guidelines and BRZO’99 Dutch legislation.
Process and distribution safety
At our production facilities we evaluate risks, safety issues, health concepts and check that they are implemented correctly. The best way to achieve occupational safety is for all employees to take responsibility for themselves and for co-workers. Polyscope wants to ensure safe handling , transport and storage of our products. That is why we effectively organize distribution and work with reliable logistics partners and global standards.
Emergency response
Being a Chemelot site-partner, Polyscope is as well prepared as possible in the event of emergencies or accidents. Our emergency plan provides access to adequate procedures and expertise in the field of emergency and accidents.
