Safety, Health and Environment
Polyscope is committed to a controlled and safe production process: Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) are of major importance for our business. In addition to process safety and occupational safety there is also a lot of attention for environmental safety. To maintain our high safety standards, good communication, training & education and safety leadership is required.
Given the high risks within our business, there are strict rules regarding the observance of regulations. Polyscope commits to the Chemelot site regulations. This applies to employees, contractors and visitors. There is close attention to specific information and instructions.
One of the site regulations we act upon is related to the Chemelot environmental license ‘BRZO’ status, the Dutch derivative of the Seveso directives. BRZO stands for ‘Besluit Risico's Zware Ongevallen’ which means ‘Decision Risks Severe Accidents’. Objective of BRZO is to avoid severe accidents taking place and therefore chemical companies have to follow strict guidelines. The Dutch government is responsible for performing public inspections and audits based on Dutch legislation. Polyscope has no current violations.
